Sleep

Waking after one hour

After some advice!
My 13 month old had always been a great sleeper, sleeping 12/13 hours a night and has always gone to bed early (asleep by 6pm).
She refused two naps so only has one now. This can be between 9/10 for a couple of hours. I started to move her bedtime a tad later (between 6:15/6:30) this last week
She goes down without a peep but has now started to wake up crying inconsolably after about an hour. I have tried to leave her to see if she will go back to sleep but no luck. She does settle but then wakes up about 5 every morning chatting, I leave her and she goes back to sleep until about 630/7.

Google has me thinking that the bedtime needs to go back again; any advice?

It sounds like your whole day needs sliding.

With a 6pm bedtime then 5am wake up is about right. That then means by 10am baby is ready for a "mid-day" nap. But the nap is in the morning rather than lunchtime because her whole day has slid earlier.

It'll take some time to shift her sleep pattern - expect 3 weeks before you see consistent changes- but you can do this.

I'd work on trying to keep her active and engaged for as long as possible before naptime. If you can shift naptime later, you can shift bedtime too. Aim for a 12/1pm to 3pm nap. If you're wanting a 7am wake then 8pm bedtime would be where to aim for. But do it gradually.
