Hi all
My DD is nearly 11 months and she naps during the day in total 2 hours. 1 hour in the morning. And usually an hour in the afternoon.

All babies are different but in general, when have you all started to drop your babies naps to 1 a day? Is 11 months too early?

I didn't "drop my baby's nap" but he stopped napping in the afternoon at about a year old, and then his morning lap naturally got later and later til just after lunch.

I gradually put the morning nap a little later, a little later, then started doing lunch at 11:30 followed by nap and then she was switched to one nap at 12ish for two hours. She started nursery at 12 months and that was the pattern they follow so it was good to get her doing the same thing at home.
She is now 22 months and we still follow that pattern of nap straight after lunch but can be more flexible about pushing it later if we want to on weekends etc.

Both of my daughters dropped their morning sleep around 12 months and then had a two hour sleep after lunch instead.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Our DD slept really well last night and then only really slept for 40 mins in her pram in the morning and then 30 mins in her pram this afternoon.

Perhaps the old naps were simply playing catch up with sleep she lost in the night!!!
