Looking for a bit of advice/someone to tell me they're in the same boat and I haven't completely ruined my child!

DS screams at the sight of his cot.

Won't let DH put him down in the evening or go in for night wake ups.

Once he's awake in the night he will not go back in cot - no amount of rocking works. He can be dead asleep in my arms but then the claws come out when he can feel himself being lowered into cot.

Sleeps in our bed and has done pretty much full time for 4 weeks and about 50% of the time for another 2/3 weeks before that.

Most of the time he won't just sleep in our bed he has to have his head pressed into my neck - if i move, he cries.

I feel I've always been quite realistic with sleep expectations but this is just getting a bit silly. I've bought every Jellycat toy under the sun to try and get him attached to a soft toy and now i'm considering buying a bloody sleepyhead grand! He has nurofen and anbesol before bed for teeth, porridge before bed for hunger, relaxing bath before bed.

Please tell me someone else has experienced this!!!

I have no words of wisdom sadly but mine started this shit at 13 months and is still going at 18 months I'm afraid! Just thought you'd like some solidarity.
