5 year old suddenly night-waking

Hi everyone, really looking for some advice! Our 5 year old son who before now has been a “great sleeper” has suddenly started waking up repeatedly and will not go back to sleep without me or my husband in his room. We are struggling to solve this since he seems to now be in a routine of waking up. We are due our second baby in 7 weeks and i’m not sure whether that might have anything to do with it! Welcome any advice, thank you.

Hiya, I wish I could offer you some words of wisdom but our 5 yr old son has just started doing the same & we are also expecting our 2nd DC (in July!). Could it be excitement or a slight worry of us not having time or cuddles for them once baby arrives? I hope it's just a phase.
