What age did you swap your baby's grobag for a duvet/quilt and pillow?

My 13 month old is still in a grobag. My sister had a v expensive sleep consultant for her little one and was told she should have swapped to a duvet and pillow at 12 months. I know there's no set rule, I was just wondering when most people swap. My LO moves around so much that I don't think a duvet would work right now...

We swapped when we took the sides off the cot at about 22 months. My DS was climbing out and I didn’t think a sleeping bag was safe when he could walk about. Took him a while to get used to the duvet so I’m glad we changed over in summer

We swapped only at 2.5 years, when he went into single bed (from cot)

12 months as she hated sleeping bags with a passion!

Swapped to pj's and cellular blanket in the cot at 9 months. Then to cot bed at 13 months. Duvet at about 15 months and a pillow at about 18 months. DD loathed grobags.

DS1 and DD moved to a duvet when they went from a cot to a bed at 2. DS2 stayed in his grobag in his big bed for a few months as he liked it and wasn't dry at night.

What is the argument for moving them at a younger age?

DD always hated the sleeping bags, so has always had her own blankets for cosleeping and when she went into her own room at around 1 we got her a small duvet, she doesn't use the pillow.

When they could stand up in them. They got tangled up in them. so, at about 8-12 months
Didn't give them pillows until 18-24 months or so.... can't remember exactly.

We will be doing it soon, when DD grows out of her winter one. So in a few weeks - she'll be around 2.

I'm dreading it because she loves her bag! Getting in downstairs for stories is part of her bedtime routine. I'm hoping making a fuss of letting her choose her own duvet and pillowcase etc will help.

Sides are coming off the cot and its turning into a toddler bed at the same time too, as I'm pregnant and in a few weeks my belly will mean I can't reach the bottom of the cot anymore.

13 months is no way too old to be in a sleeping bag. They go up to about age 4 I think!

Oldest son was about 2, and you get son about 2.4 - basically when they outgrew the rather large 6-18m sleeping bag!

My DD is 13 months, I've recently introduced a pillow but still using the sleeping bag.

There's a long gap between when rhey want to be able to walk and when they're able to manage a duvet without parental assistance because they've kicked off the covers and they're cold. We've found footed sleeping bag/suit hybrids are really handy. Dreamgenie are really expensive but Vaenait do them in varying thicknesses (including 2.5 tog) up to 7 years old.

I think it was around 12-18 months old. Duvets are much easier than sleeping bags when they get to that age!

15m. Into his own room and bed (previously in ours - co sleeping had worked well up till then but it suddenly stopped working as well.)

18m old still in hers, she loves it, probably won't use a duvet until she moves into her bed

Nearly 3 for my eldest. She loved her sleep sack. She had a pillow from 3.

My little one (15months) is still in a grow bag because I don’t fancy getting woken up because she’s cold as she’s uncovered herself. I don’t think she’s mature enough to make the connection that pulling the cover up will keep her warm
