WHY IS SHE NOT SLEEPING?!

DD2 is almost 16 weeks. I’ve been upstairs with her for 2 hours and she’s still not sleeping! She’s been fed a million times, ticked, put down ‘drowsy but awake’, fed again..,

She’s so tired but those eyes will. Just. Not. Close!!

She woke from her last nap at 4.30 so should be shattered by now!

Ticked = rocked.

She lying here now squealing in delight and blowing raspberries. I wish I had her enthusiasm for life. We are leaving first things in the morning and I still need to pack!!

Sleep regression... it’ll pass but hunker down for a bit! My Ds was sleeping all night at five weeks; he hit 16 and was waking at midnight, then three, then five.... it was a hideous couple of weeks but then back to eleven hour nights.

This was where the dummy at night kicked in. It kept me sane.

She won’t entertain a dummy at all.

She’s happy when being held but won’t lie down for long without getting upset and I don’t want her to wake the toddler, or let her cry.

I’ve sent he downstairs with her dad - I’ve got shit to do and that’s been 2.5 hours of ‘nearly’ sleeping so god knows how much longer it could have gone on for!

Definitely the 4 month sleep regression. It’ll pass! Frustrating when you have stuff to do but my max trying to get baby to sleep especially at that age was about 45 mins and then I’d try again later!
