Experience with merino wool sleeping bags

Hi

I was wondering whether anyone had used merino kids or bambino merino sleeping bags? We have been given a cocooi swaddle and a cocooi sleep bag (suitable from birth).

The temperature guide on the Merino Kids website for what to wear underneath recommends merino garments - of course this may just be a sales ploy so I'll buy their bodysuits and sleepsuits, but I'm wondering if this guide also applies to cotton clothing?

Is merino warmer? E.g. If it says that at 18C the baby should wear a long sleeve merino bodysuit and a long merino sleeve sleepsuit,

Sorry posted too soon! Is that the same as cotton layers? Or do I need to add more?
