It's pretty normal. My son's 5.5 months old and only has 3 45 min naps a day. Doesn't sleep through the night though, so I'm quite envious ;).

I think most babies start to lengthen to 2 naps at about 9/10 months old.

My DS is 4.5 months and naps approx 3 times per day. In length they are between 30 and 90 mins. It used to stress me out because I felt he needed longer but I think it's pretty normal. Mine doesn't sleep through either. Also jealous! Wink I wouldn't change anything if I was you!!!

Not related but does you lo seem to have nightmares? My boy is currently going from sobbing to screeming the most horrific screem all while asleep! It's awful! Can they even have nightmares at this age?

Sounds like teething pains to me. Babies are still very much needs oriented at this age, so perhaps teething gel before bed if they show any teething signs during the day
