Sleep

7mo waking in the night - wide awake

My 7mo girl used to sleep through the night, from 6.45pm to 6.30am.
Her schedule used to be:
6.30am bottle and snooze until 7.30am
8am porridge
10am bottle and nap
12pm lunch
2pm bottle and nap
4pm awake
5pm dinner
6pm bath, bottle, bed (asleep, self settling every night)

She now wakes up once or twice in the night, she isn't distressed, she isn't hungry... she just usually chats and chats and chats until we come into her room. Cuddle her, put the dummy in and she goes back to sleep.

She has started crawling so usually when we come in she can be anywhere in her cot! She even managed to crawl out of her sleeping bag!

Any advice??

Will my little sleeping angel come back one day??

I think it's too much day time sleep... I'd be aiming for a short morning nap and then two hours at lunch time, up no later than 3pm.

Or its just a phase, this too shall pass etc.

With 3-4 hours daytime sleep, I would say 11 hours sleep at night (ish) would be expected.

6.45pm-7.30am night time, I wouldn't be surprised at a night time wide awake period.

I think your daytime routine is lovely. I used to do 9-11am and 2-4pm nap times at this age, which is not all that different to yours. I would go for a later bedtime though. We would do 7.30 bath, bottle for an 8pm bedtime at this stage. This gave a 7am ish wake up with no wake-ups.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried to push bed time later but she crashes by 6.30pm.... She is very active when awake and I struggle to keep her awake longer than 2.5h, sometimes 3 if we take her out for a walk
