Previously my dd would sleep until 6:30 ish with a 7:30 pm bed time. Suddenly a couple of months ago she started waking earlier and earlier before 5:30am this morning. She is extremely active and doesn't nap In The day. A few nights ago I started putting her to bed 10-15 mins later to see if I could gradually just shift her sleep pattern eg 8pm - 6am but so far no joy. She had black out blinds and gro clock and sleep reward chart but nothing helps.
I'm just really worried what she's going to be like when she starts school. If she is waking up at this time in the morning she is going to be absolutely shattered after school and really cranky plus I'll have a newborn to contend with. Is there anything else I can try? The whole family is suffering from lack of sleep.

Starting school often significantly changes sleep anyway. So come starting school she may well change her sleeping habits again.

I find black out curtains better than black out blinds - because blinds bleed light round the edges. Better still have blackout blinds and blackout curtains. Early morning light is a bastard for waking little ones.
