4 month sleep regression advice needed!

My wee man has started waking in the night every hour from 4am through to 7am. It seems like the dreaded 4 month sleep regression but I'm confused if I should be doing something to help him self settle. At the moment when he wakes I'll feed him at 4am, swaddle him and get a dummy in. At 5am I just put the dummy back in and he goes to sleep again. Repeat at 6am.

From what I've been reading I should be teaching him how to self settle? Not sure what to do tho as currently he will stick his hands in his mouth which is meant to be him trying to settle, but ends up working himself into a lather. I swaddle him to stop the hands doing just that, but then it means I need to give him his dummy to settle him. He's grabbing etc, but doesn't have the fine motor skills to get the dummy in in his own, so leaving it in the cot is no option.
Any advice would be appreciated!

What you are doing sounds fine, you don't need to change anything.

More frequent daytime naps and daytime feeds can help reduce frequent night wakings. At 4 months I would be aiming to feed 2 hourly (ish) in the daytime and aiming for no longer than 90 mins awake time between daytime naps
