Sleep

5/6 month old just won't sleep

Since dd was around 4 months old her sleep has gradually worsened. She used to do a long stint of about 6 hours and then up every 2-3 which was great/fine.

Now she'll go down at 7 but her waking is completely random but will wake usually within the hour and then every hour until midnight. After that I'm so exhausted I have her in bed with me and feed her every 2 hours (she is ebf).

My husband works away a lot so it is fine, but when he's home he (understandably) wants to sleep in our bed. --He also mentioned cc as being something you pretty much have to do with all babies, but I am against this
--
Her naps are worse than they used to be in the day too and she'll only have 2x 30 minute naps. However she seems fine with this and does not show any signs of over tiredness. Also when I've 'helped' her extend her naps they have no effect on her nighttime sleeping.

I'll be moving her into her own room in the next couple of weeks. She's in a snuzpod at the moment which looks like a bit of a squeeze. I just had her with me in/on bed and she woke up crying. The only way I could settle her was with rocking but she cried again within a few seconds of putting her down.

I just don't know what to do really. Am I doing something wrong? Is it a case of just riding it out? Or is this how it's going to be for a long time?!

Help please!!!

May be has a sensory problem, we all have them in some form, light ,dark,
noise, fabrics, touch,
If this is the problem have too find out by trial and error, change contact sleep fabrics, label's, looser night attire, cooler, remove cot bumpers if used, dangly mobiles , use blackout blinds, keep noise too a minimum.
Or may be a positioning problem our ds screams (3 months) when he moves on too his tummy he is very advanced for age, so its a problem being very mobile and active as he is day or night, will as you say have too ride this out too.
Good luck.
