She wakes screaming several times every night. Sometimes she's coherent, sometimes not. Each time we get to a milestone - 2 years, 2.5, 3 years, starting nursery - I think it will improve, and it just doesn't. All the advice tends to be for people whose children won't settle at bedtime, and that's not the problem at all. She just screams and wails and needs one of us to go in, but when it gets to the third or fourth time of getting up it's hard to remain patient.
I've read they tend to get over it by 6 years, but I don't think I can cope with it every night for another 2 years. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and staring to think it's a mistake having another. I honestly thought she'd grow out of it.
Anyone else in the same boat?
