3.5 month old bed time

Out of interest, what time do you start the bed time routine for your little ones?

My 3.5 month old can't seem to make it beyond 5pm (sometimes as early as 4.15!!!) I don't mind starting the routine at 5ish but just wondering if I could stretch it, would he wake later in the morning? He's always wide awake by 6am.

He's not a good napper during the day, despite my best efforts. I think this is why he can't last beyond 5pm.

Anyone have any advice on this? What is it you do?

At that age mine would nap at 5pm-6pm. We would change into pjs/ bath/ feed at 9pm downstairs with us, then 11/12pm wake baby and feed then re settle in our bedroom for the night

My 3 month old has an 8pm bedtime, so at 5 an hour nap means he can last until then, or put him down for a nap at 4 if he tends to sleep longer. We start the whe thing at 7.30 or 5 mins earlier with a little story in his swing chair, then bath him, put him in night stuff and feed him and he's asleep usually by 8. This way his father actually sees him after work! I read somewhere that by 3 months they tend to sleep 10 hours overnight and around 5 in ten day, which my DS seems to naturally, so if I put him down at 6 we'd be up in the early hours!

I have a 12 wk old and I start bath time at 6.30pm, bed at 7pm. I used to start bath at 7pm but even if he'd napped until 5.30pm that last stretch was always a challenge for him even though it now means DH often isn't home. DS1 doesn't nap great through the day though, he tends to go 30 mins at a time every 90 mins so we still do a last nap around 5pm. He sleeps 7pm to 1am and then to 5am abd then to about 7.30am.
