6MO early waking every day - please help

Just hoping someone can help - my 6 1/2 MO baby who previously was sleeping until 7am is now waking up crying and screaming every morning at 5am. The only thing I can do to calm her is breastfeed her but I'm worried she's getting used to this and almost waking up expecting it. She's been on solids for about 4 weeks, has three BF a day (5am, 2.30pm and 6pm) and three meals a day (7am, 1130am and 5pm) and is always in bed asleep by 7pm with a bottle dream feed at 11pm. I may be expecting too much I just don't understand why she's suddenly switched to waking earlier and it's exhausting as she won't then go back to sleep, even after being BF but then will nap later around 9... Anyone else experiencing this??
thanks v much

Maybe she needs more BF during the day. My 7MO is bf at 7, 11, 3, 645 and around 4am. Maybe 3 a day is too little and she is hungry? Maybe ask your HV?

This is happening to us too - I am bfing at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and usually 3am with food at 8.30am, 12.30 and 5. It's a mystery to me, but you have my sympathy as my daughter is ready to go at 5am at the moment!

I don't want to make you worry but my youngest is 10 and still gets up at 6.30 every morning.

Luckily she's old enough at the weekend to go downstairs and watch tv.

You don't get lie-ins until they're teens (on Saturday dd1 - 14 - doesn't stir until,11.30 unless The Boyfriend phones!).

Thanks, I'll trying topping her up with some breastmilk after each meal today and see how we go... I can cope with a 6.30am start, even a 6am one - but 5am just seems ungodly!

Firenze, you seem to be experiencing the same thing as us on this thread. I don't doubt that my DS is getting plenty of milk and food during the day; I'm not keen on bf'ing at 5am as, like you, I feel it will become a habit and that 5am will become the start to his day.

Hi Maui, sorry to hear you're going through the same madness, I've just responded to your thread...
