Hi all, I have my 2 day old dd home from hospital (exciting!!) and as she wouldn't latch, we decided to formula feed.

This is only her second day, but she had a feed at around 6:30 this morning and then has slept all day!!!! It's now 5pm and I woke her at 4:30 for a nappy change and to try and feed her.

I am changing her before her feed to try and wake her, and she is starting taking the bottle, but then falls asleep... And won't waken again! This is twice it has happened today now so she has barely eaten anything.

Any tips? Is this normal behaviour for a little baby of this age?

See when you was in labour did morphine by any chance. I have a 13 month old daughter and had it when I was in labour and she was like that for the 1st 3 days after she was born then she was ok

At 2 days old, I'd say yes it's normal! Plus she'll let you know when she's hungry Grin

Rach, yes I had 2 shots of it. That could be it then! Although I do like the idea of her liking her sleep k999, she just doesn't seem to be hungry!!
