Fighting sleep at 9 months

My 9 month old is fighting sleep and I can only get her to sleep by rocking her and putting her down asleep. When I have tried to put her down awake she stands up in her cot and cries, working herself up so much that she hyperventilates. I then end up rocking her to calm her down and eventually she goes to sleep. Unfortunately she is also waking up in the night. I have been so tired that I resorted to bringing her in to bed with me. However, this is cramped and I still don't sleep well. My husband helped last night by putting her back to sleep, but she woke 3 times and only settled herself the last time crying.

What do I do?

If anyone has any ideas about this, I'm all ears. Our one is 10 months, and has been a great sleeper up until the last few days. Now, every time she's put in her cot she stands up and screams like a mentalist. She used to nap once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Now, doesn't matter how tired she is, she won't lie down.

Earlier on she was so tired she fell asleep sitting up with her head between her knees.

Tried calpol. Tried bath. Tried soothing music. Tried rubber mallet.

Suggestions gratefully received.

Please someone reply with advice! We're having the same problem with our 10mo. She cries and works herself up, stands in the cot, at least once she's finally asleep she usually sleeps through, but it can take over an hour to settle her in the first place.

I don't know. I bf mine to sleep at 7 then cuddle him back down when he wakes in the night. I've seen some improvement by tweaking his night nappies - reusables - but i think it's something they grow out of

8-12 months was a horrendous sleep time for us. I tried literally everything, including millpond. Nothing worked.

There's a massive sleep regression around this age. Not sure what the answer is apart from do what you can to maximise sleep.

DS also dropped a nap around now which made day sleep better. Sorry I'm not more helpful!

My nearly 10 month old is the same, used to go down well, now stands and screams. I posted about it the other day after lying her down again28 times.
Apparently it's a phase - but hopeful for advice!
