I'm just wondering how much sleep is normal as I think my DD 21months is sleeping too much in the day. She has a nap usually after her lunch, I usually get her up after about 2 and 1/2 hrs but she will sleep for a lot longer than this if i leave her. She sleeps fine on a night 7.30 to 7.30 and doesn't wake in the night. When she is at nursery she is sleeping for about 2 hrs which I think is probably due to the noise and too much going on around her. She is a good eater and is in 98th centile for height and weight so I think she's growing ok, just feel a bit worried!!!

DD2 is 2.5
She sleeps 8 to 7pm
She would sleep for up to 3 hrs after lunch if I let her but then wouldn't sleep at night. Before she was 2 she was having 2 hrs & now I limit her to 45mins to 1 hr else she wouldn't sleep at night. That said all children are different and need different amounts of sleep as long as she is tired & goes to sleep at bedtime I don't think you have a problem :)

My daughter is 2 and 3 mths, and sleeps 2 hrs after lunch and from 7pm till 6am. I am happily letting her continue as long as it doesn't effect the night sleep.
My son is just 4 and only just started stopping having a sleep, the last 6-8 mths, although will some days if he's shattered- now that plays havoc with the night sleep! Saying that he has just fallen asleep on the kitchen floor after dinner!!!!!!!! I have put him straight to bed and he will sleep through to 6am.
So as said each child is different and needs diff amount of sleep!
I wouldn't be worrying just yet- as long as she is happily sleeping at night- enjoy the break whilst you have it!

My 13 month old sleeps around 7.30pm-6am at night, 30 minutes in the morning and about 2.5 hours in the afternoon.

I have a 22mo who sleeps 7pm-7:30am with a nap of 2hrs on average each day (sometimes 2.5hrs if for some reason he's missed a nap, or had one cut short the day before).

I don't think you have anything to worry about. You will know when she is ready to cut back on the day sleep - she will either start taking longer to settle at night, or start waking earlier in the morning. If she's doing neither at the moment then she obviously needs all that sleep. I would enjoy it if I were you Grin
