Sleep

Help my baby won't sleep!

I am so exhausted! I have 10month old twins one who sleeps soundly whilst the other wakes increasingly often. Now we are awake upto 3hours most nights. We have tried various sleep methods but most of them seem to end up with my baby being sick...Game Over! And they don't even want to sleep in our bed!
They nap well, usually an hour in the morning and an hour after lunch and are so tired at bedtime they sleep straight away.
I'm just not sure what to do next....any suggestions? Thank you!

First, ask MNHQ to move this thread to SLEEP instead of Bloggers, where you will get more replies.

Second. What "sleep methods" have you tried?

Third, and and a big lump of .

It does get better, I promise. But some DC are just better sleepers than others. Even now, at 9yo and 7yo, my DD sleeps like a stone, and son wakens at least once a night.

Thanks Mme Lindor. This site is all new to me and I have no idea how to work it but thanks!
Have tried...
Sitting by their cot
Going in and reassuring repeatedly
Letting them cry whilst I do same in the other room!
Rocking them to sleep
Putting them in our bed
Going to them straight away to replace dummy!

All this wasn't in one night I add!

all the sleep methods we tried with DD1 ended in her throwing up too - yes, definitely Game Over at that point! I totally feel for you. What ended up working for us was something modelled on the No Cry Sleep Solution - basically her problem was she didn't EVER want to stop breastfeeding in the evening, so I eventually just kept putting her down, picking her up again, then when she stopped sucking, putting her down (she'd cry so I'd put her back on again), repeat ... and repeat ... and repeat ... and repeat ... The book said "you may have to do this 4 or 5 times" HAHAHAHA ha ha ha. Try: 40 or 50 times. We also, at 10 months-ish, had DH going in and not me, and no breasts in the night - just cold formula or water or something less exciting to wake up for. Anyway eventually it worked and/or she grew out of it, she's 3 now and sleeps great. It does get better!
