Sleep

Is DH off his head??

I have posted on here several times in regards to my DD who was only really sleeping for about 6 hours in every 24 and this was only when she slept with me and this went on for about 4 months. Things have drastically changed and I am over the moon to say that I now have a 6 month old DD who sleeps through the night in her own room (I don't know how it happened but I am thrilled!!!).
Anyway DD had her best night ever last night and slept from 19:30 through to 6am, when DH got up this morning he asked how she had slept and I told him, he then looked really concerned and said "I think this is a bit too long for her to go without any boob, should you wake her about 12 for a feed", My face must have being a bloody picture and then I choked on my cup of tea, as if I am going to wake her after spending 6 months praying for her to sleep for longer than 2 hours at a time!

He's clearly a lunatic!

It's kind of sweet though! He's still thinking of her as a newborn, and probably is a bit clueless less knowledgeable about these things than you are Wink

Ummm, I suppose so bless him but I wonder if he would still be saying it if he was the one who has sat up all night for months on end!

I would be saying if he thinks so then you'll happily express a bottle for him to give to her at 12 and see then if he still thinks it too long without the boob!

My DH is wonderful, but he isn't the one getting up for the past 5 months as many times in the night as my DD needs so I got a bit annoyed with him myself this morning when I said DD only woke at 5am (after going down at 8pm) and was back asleep still at 7.30!

I would love to do the EBM thing but she refuses point blank to take a bottle so all feeds are left to me, I hope he hasn't given DD any ideas and she decides to wake at 12 for a feed Hmm

If she sleeps through then she clearly doesn't need it. She would let you know if she was hungry.

For crying out loud, why do men dictate like that? Tell him to zip it and be grateful he has a baby that sleeps well.
