1yr old wont sleep on her own

My one year old daughter wont go to sleep on her own. hen she does she sleeps through the night and can self soothe but whenever i put her down for a nap or for bed she cries. I have tried both c crying and pick up put down but both didnt work.

I think she might be going through seperation anxiety as i cant leave her in her cot during the day without her getting upset...but if it is how long does it normally last or does anyone have any ideas to overcome this as she has never just fell asleep without help and would love her to be able to.

My ds became very clingy at 12 months to the extent that even if he thought I was about to move away from him he'd burst into tears. It lasted about 3 weeks and only flares up now and again while teething. I think all you can do is comfort them, it will pass.
