Going on my own with the kids

I'm a v keen skier, I go each year with a friend and this year also went with the kids and nonskiing dh for a week.
The kids loved it
The dh hated it

I'd like to go again but I don't have a preformed group to go with, I have a few friends who ski, one group have different holidays, one group is formed and not wanting any more and there is possibly another group I could go with but I'm not sure I want to.
I loved skiiing with my kids 9&12 so the afternoons would not be a problem but I would like them to have lessons and I don't know that I'd want the confines of a group lesson for me each day.
Ideally I'd like a group to ski with (of a similar ability, reds and blues) in the mornings,
What would you do? Big chalet and take my chances? I'm happy to chat with people on the evenings and don't need childcare as such now they're older

Have you looked at club med or Esprit? Esprit often do single parent special offers and some of the resorts often ski guiding so you could tag along to those. The kids can then do Esprit ski lessons.

If it was me I'd book a private family lesson for all 3 of you on day 1 then just ski together and don't bother with ski school.
Alternatively I'd just ski on my own while the kids are in ski school. I quite like skiing alone - put a ski playlist together. Smile
Booking a chalet is no guarantee that you'd have a suitable group of people to ski with - they may be beginners or much better than you. Or unfriendly or obnoxious.
