Hi All
My well planned ski trip now looks like being carbooshed by me being 12 weeks pg when we go in March (all being well Smile).
Does anyone have any ideas about how to occupy myslef whilst everyone else is away skiing?
I'm not proficient enough to ski confidently without risking falling over so can't really ski - unfortunately.
DD (15m) was booked into nursery so i may take her out too.
thanks!
Really hoping i can still eat comte!

Hi Black

Same thing happened to me 7 years ago, booked a week with my hubby, brother and sis in law and then found out just before xmas, that i was 9 weeks pregnant. We did still go in the March of the following year and I did ski, just very carefully. I did not over do it at all, actually prob the best skiing i have ever done as was very aware of things, if we were not skiing, then we went for walks and found local pool in resort and did some swimming.

Maybe take daughter out for a couple of days but why not have some you time and have a spa day :)

PM if you want more advise, defo go for the trip though, dont cancel, enjoy the crisp mountain air xxx

Thanks, I'll do lots of chilling I think. Need to work out if I can refund my lift pass now!

Hi we live about an hour away from Les gets so are there most Saturdays at the moment. There is a little sledging place at the bottom near the lift and for €7 you can be a foot passenger to the plateau, where there are bars/restaurants.

In the town there's an ice skating rink and a bowling place. Geneva is close by and worth a day trip. Annecy is even closer and really pretty. Trying to think of stuff that doesn't involve cafes!

There's a chocolate making atelier. And a cheese making visit. Both sound deadly to me. You can do a walking circuit up on Chavannes. There is a cinema that does the odd VO film if you don't speak French.
Take your kindle and sunglasses - sit on your terrace or balcony and enjoy what can be very nice days.
A friend skied with us when she was pregnant and was fine. I can't advise though obviously (and I've never been pregnant).

I don't see why being 12 weeks pregnant would prevent you from skiing? Book an appointment with your GP and ask. I was surfing in South Africa at 24 weeks pg with no problems!

I did my very first skiing holiday 9 weeks pregnant. I figured I wouldn't be going very fast and if I fell it would be slowly into snow. It was fine, and the cold fresh air really helped with the nausea. All was well. DD now 18 skis like a pro!

Hi
thanks for your replies, appreciate them.
I'm a little worried that i'm not an expert skier so know i will fall down, also i am worried about others skiing into me. with my pregnancy history i'd rather be cautious and not ski, as much as it'll kill me!
