Le ski or family ski co

It is a toss up between the two. We have done family ski co before (Reberty) and they were really good. Le ski is cheaper for our group but my little one will be 3.10 when we travel and famiky ski co reps stay with the little ones in the lesson which makes me think it would be worth the extra (and they are a known quantity to me) BUT le ski get good reviews and la Tania would be lower down the mountain (not so cold perhaps bearing in mind we are going in January) and more going in in resort for teenager. Has anyone been with both. Who would you go with? Please help me make up my mind before tomorrow.....

Sorry, haven't been with Family Ski Co, but have been with Le Ski to La Tania with DD last Christmas when she was 1 - the chalet we were in was very convenient, the nursery staff were lovely and the chalet staff were lovely.

Thank you Snowgirl. I have gone for le ski. The lady i spoke to on the phone was just so incredibly helpful that I think it must bode well for the ski holiday itself. She spent a long time talking me through the various room options and even looked up the ages of the other guests who have already booked to see whether the ages worked for my kids (we have 17 year gap between oldest child and youngest). If the resort staff are even half as efficient as booking staff we are in for a fab time! I'm getting excited already!!!

I couldn't agree with you more! We've just booked with Ski Esprit (fancied a change as we've skied in the Three Valleys a lot) and I actually thought after I'd booked 'their booking staff aren't as nice as Le Ski's'!

I phoned Esprit and told them our dates and party size but said we didn't really have any strong opinions about where we went as were happy to try new places etc. the person I spoke to me told me she couldn't come up with any suggestions as it was up to me to go back to the website, get a shortlist of possibilities and then check back with her as to availability and price- Thank you, goodbye, I'm not giving you my hard earned cash, I'll go with a co that employs helpful staff!

We have always chosen Family Ski because they only book families with children so we know we will be with like minded people. Also their ski school helpers are fab, giving us peace of mind to go off for a great days skiing knowing our little ones are being looked after by English speaking staff who can feed back to us at the end if the lesson...oh and their child care & food has always been second to none Smile

We've been with Ski Esprit before on several occasions, but their reservations staff are a bit middling I agree. And their prices! It always cheeses me off that you have to add on all the extra bits - room supplements, childcare, cocoa club, etc.

Did a lot of ringing around prior to last holiday and oh-so-nearly booked with Ski Famille, who were super helpful on the phone, as were Snowbizz (did it indepedently in the end). It makes such a difference to discuss things with staff who know their stuff. Don't think we'll be going with any of these family operators from hereon in though as we're now tied to school holidays and it's so pricy :( Shame, 'cos it's so easy that way! Bah.
