we went to la norma in the maurienne valley with peak retreats. Very cheap, small french resort (i loved it!).

They had a lot of snow in february. peak retreats were brilliant when i rang - they have a large choice so maybe ring them and see what they can offer you.

Thanks for that. I've literally 30 mins ago just booked an apartment in Courchevel. Gone direct with the owner rather than with a ski company. Fingers crossed!

Bit late to this, I see you've already found something, but for furture ref there's also 'Les Sybelles' in the Maurienne valley which has a good choice of s/c accommodation, at very reasonable prices compared to the bigger resorts. The bookings central has English speaking staff who can put quotes together for you. I can send their details if anyone is interested, just pm me. I live in the area now, and can really vouch for the ski conditions and resorts, little known in the UK but really nice.

We've skied a couple of time at St Sorlin d'arves in the Maurienne Valley - and going again next Feb. It's become our 'easy resort' cos we know the apartments and the route and don't need to spend weeks chosing!

Would definitley recommend - Nice little resort and can easily be done on the cheap if you self cater. We drive down and get there Sat afternoon.
