to do an active conversations option without buying/selling and member profiles?

But then you have to put it on all the different options - some people do want to see member profiles, but don't want to see buying and selling, some people want to see member profiles but not chat or buying and selling, etc, etc.

How bizarre - I was going to post a similar thread just before to ask if we could have the facility to omit whichever topics we want. Member profiles and breast and bottle are doing my noggin in!

It was asked a while ago when lots of people - me included - were posting member profile pics.

There's an option to use find new messages or something with the categories you don't want discarded - you can save your favourites list, then you can go and be miserable and not chat about how lovely other people's children are

I've nothing against it Hunker (seen my share of it recently as good friend has new baby and have been meeting up a lot), just the endless repetitive threads - it's so boring. I know I can just not click on it but even the titles wind me up!!! I know, it doesn't take much!

I do think that some of it is interesting - see Mears' post on the subject - and of course if somebody is in great distress and can't get their baby to feed, I'll do my best to suggest things as I know how hard it is in the early days.

But it can get repetitive.

Oh, I agree Hunker - for people that have problems or want advice but the endless 'debate'...it always turns that way whether it's the intention or not! I find it exhausting to see it coming round again and again (though I know Moondog LOVES it ).

You can only have active convos without chat or without chat or buying/selling at the moment.

Have a look at the top of the page underneath the logo and buttons, theres a row of links next to 'Active conversations' which will give you your options there
