Can spoiler threads be masked somehow?

I have no problem with people wanting to chat about spoilers on TV shows and stuff, and they usually are very considerate and mark the titles of their threads accordingly, so that others can choose to avoid them. The problem is, that when you run a 'last hour' or 'last 15 minutes', the first line of each recent post on the talkboard comes up. Sometimes people responding to the thread will have written something in their first dozen words that makes the outcome clear.

I know they aren't doing it deliberately, but it still ends with the same result - that you can see the outcome of things you don't want to know yet. Last year, I saw who was getting kicked out of Strictly Come Dancing before the results show; the thread had been marked as being a spoiler, but running 'last hour' on the talkboard produced a line saying something like, "Yay! so pleased that Ooby Dooby has gone".

Now, I know it's only telly and it's not a huge deal, but it is a bit of a bummer when you're planning to watch something and you find out the result by just glancing over the talkboard. I tried using 'hide' but that only seems to block it from active convos, rather than 'last 15 minutes' etc, and anyway - with the SCD one, I didn't even know the thread existed when I saw the result, so wouldn't have been able to hide it or anything.

Digital Spy has some fancy way of hiding spoilers in the text of people's messages, whereby you have to have your cursor over the spoiler text to be able to read it, but I guess that may be too complicated. Is there anything that can be done, or do I just have to keep closing my eyes between 'Site Stuff' and 'Weaning' when I run a 'last hour' search?
