Why was my moldies thread deleted?

I started a thread asking what moldies are yesterday and I was told it'd be deleted immediately. I assumed this was because 'moldies' is a controversial topic.
I log on tonight and find a moldies thread started today which is now 8 pages long and I still don't know what a moldie is and why I wasn't allowed to ask.

there were lots of threads....mumsnet said they would allow one thread and all others would be deleted, to keep it all in one place and stop the board being cluttered up.

tbh, it's all dying down now, but everytime someone asks it flares up again.....hence threads being deleted.

the thread today is a continuation thread....not a "new" thread as such.

and no I'm not going to tell you what it's all about...it's all on the threads that are in site stuff!

there was a thread in the site sectionas threads were popping up all over the place and spoiling it for other posters so mnhq kept it under site stuff in one place

there have been many many many threads on it and when moldies part 3 finished - i think MNHQ didn't want to encourage us by automatically starting another ( as they finish just after a thousand posts)

so i went on under site stuff - not being able to find part three - and asked

and that turned into part three

go on that and ask what a moldy is someone should answer you and if they don't they is cuntwhackers.

not that I don't want to tell you, but like all arguments, either side may feel they are being misrepresented and the controversy starts again!
