Hi there

In response to the suggestion of some mumsnetters (further down this thread) that they'd like to do something collectively to help out in SE Asia, we're donating all money collected thru subscriptions to the S E Asia appeal fund for a week, starting today and ending end of Tuesday 11th Jan. You can subscribe as little or as much as you want by clicking here

Many thanks

Rachel, Carrie and Justine

I have cut and pasted from WHERE IS LOU THREAD

thanks galaxy

perhaps if you want to donate less then email mumsnet and am sure they will work out a way of that happening.

please help all those little babies and children left without their mummy and/or daddy to tuck them up in bed tonight

or for the mummy and/or daddy that doesn't have a baby or DD/DS to tuck up in bed anymore

I think its a FABULOUS IDEA

but .. if you are a UK taxpayer and donate directly to DEC they can claim back the tax which is worth an extra 33% to them

I don't know if Mumsnet have that facility

But I do think it is a lovely gesture

So if you are a non tax payer ie a SAHM is it just as good to donate through mumsnet?

Report
kangamummy · 06/01/2005 19:06

Twiglett, good point but for anyone who has already donated money this might be a good time to update their Mumsnet sub too!

We don't have that facility I'm afraid, which was one of our initial anxieties when this was suggested, but folks seemed so keen to have some kind of mumsnet initiative that we set this up.

Please feel free to donate personally rather than through mumsnet if you'd rather Gift Aid your donation - there'll certainly be no naming and shaming/Hall of Fame and as long as the money gets through we'll all be happy!
