Advert in thread that then converts to pop up. All. The. Time.

Every thread I am on has a video advert just after the 12th message.
Fair enough. Scroll on.
But the fecking thing then pops up in the bottom right corner of my page and I have to wait ages for the little x to pop up so I can zap the fecker.
It's on EVERY PAGE.
It's also a video ad, so have to turn off the volume permanently.
I have no idea what the ads are for. There appear to be several videos you can scroll through. The one it seems to default to is a woman in a reindeer Christmas jumper with the most ridiculous eye flick liner ever.
What is this?
Why are you doing this to me?
How can I turn it off?

Hi OP

Can you show us a screenshot of the ad and let us know what device and browser you're using?

I get that on my laptop too, it’s so irritating!!! On chrome. Weird blonde woman in a red jumper usually.

Oh yes. This is extremely irritating, intrusive, repetitive, off-putting and distracting. One of the worst things about Mumsnet at the moment, like the cookie consent. They start in the middle but fly down diagonally - as if the women are on broomsticks! - across my screen into the right hand corner, following me as I scroll down. You can't get rid of them. Free us, MNHQ, from this auto-playing tyranny. I do not want this woman's recommendations for baby monitors or whatever, or the other woman recommending Christmas buys.

There she is again. Nothing personal but I am not interested in Amy Roberts or Through Amy's Eyes or Easy Weaning Cake or being force repeatedly fed any auto playing video ad - worst of all it seems to be a Mumsnet led one.

@gnomeisland I've complained about this before and the only solution offered is to log in. Very irritating.
