Annoying Scrolling Ads with no X

PLEASE I beg of you, put a X on the John Lewis ads, the continual scrolling is driving me demented, I try not to look and I keep seeing buggies or lamps moving along out of the corner of my eye. I have tried to opt out but the company on the Adsearch page has changed and only opts you in so there seems to be no way to escape other than an ad block.

Which would you prefer MN? Stop the annoyance or me use the AdBlocker?

Hi ToadOfSadness,

Thanks for all your feedback about not liking the advertising you are seeing on site at the moment. We can completely understand that not all brands who advertise with us are going to be relevant to every user but we do try our best to ensure they are as relevant as possible - apologies if we do not get it as spot on as we'd like.

Unfortunately, not all ads come with the adchoices icon and include the X, but we do try our best to put controls in place to limit these and we also block any ads that are causing a nuisance. We always make sure that all the ads we run are in line with the better ads standard.

Your feedback goes a long way in helping us improve the situation so do please continue to post any concerns or queries you may have.

Lizzie

Thanks Lizzie, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't get the same 2 ads every day, pretty much every page. Ad choices on these tell you to go to another page because the company has changed or something, and give you the option to opt out, except it doesn't work. This doesn't seem right to me.

Never mind, I have put the adblock back on for these, some of the others are fine, the ones that don't keep moving and moving and moving like some weird stalking creature.
