Where is "back to top" option at the end of a thread on my iPad?

I find if so useful on my iPhone, but have to scroll back manually on the iPad. Advice please.

If you touch the grey bar at the very top of the iPad (level with the time) when the address bar is showing (so scroll down slightly to get it to show) it takes you straight back to the top of the page.
