Hi there. I'm having issues posting pictures... my friend can post on her account, we even tried logging her into my laptop to see if it was my laptop but nope - she can post pictures... so I made a new account (this one) and I still can't post pictures! I'm very confused!

Hi there TobascoChips,

We appreciate this probably is slightly irritating news, but we actually have a 28-day waiting period before a user has the ability to post pictures. It's an effective deterrent against the trolly types who join up simply to try to shock our users with gross and sometimes, damn upsetting pictures... We've actually had our fair share of these, of late, to be honest, and we decided that we'd much rather protect our lovely Mumsnetters from this kind of thing. We've seen some gnarly stuff here at MNHQ, as you can imagine!

This sadly means that genuine users, like yourself, have to suffer a bit in the short term by not being able to post photos. But we think it's for the greater good and it all goes towards making Mumsnet a better place, so we really hope you understand our thinking here.

You should be able to post photos once the 28 days has elapsed, and hopefully you'll find lots to keep you busy here in the meantime.

If you have any problems with posting pics after the 28 days please do drop us a line and we'll get it sorted for you.

There was a bit of miscommunication, TobascoChips. The photo-delay is 48 hours. Blush

Hey! It should be 48 hours - what are you using to access MN?

Thank you for all the advice and feedback. It's much appreciated.
Unfortunately, I can't attach the rough floor layout directly to this post - I’m too new here and haven’t been granted such power, I guess I’m on probation!

The current measurement are;
Dining Room – 4.55 x 3.20
Kitchen - 2.74 x 2.49

Hopefully this link will work; ibb.co/mM8Gom

It's a bit/very rough but should give you an idea. I've nabbed the layout from a house a couple of doors down which was on Rightmove a while back. The only difference is that we have French doors leading from the dining room into the garden.

Having read all the comments, I'm very much favouring just knocking down the (supporting) wall and designing the layout of the kitchen in a way which would still allow for an extension to be added further down the line.

I'll work on some layout ideas to see how the flow of the room would work. For now, I'm going to assume that we will probably also remove the chimney breast to give us a bit more space to work with.

Thanks again. Feel free to keep the advice coming! It's really helpful. By the end of this process, I should be in a better potion to return the favour to others :-)
