Site stuff

Pages not loading/ blank pages, getting very frequent now

Started the other day, a page would load blank and just a big white space, nothing at all on it. It was occasional but now it is happening to almost every page I open on here or when I try and post. I can refresh five or six times and it is still blank.

Operating Win 7 and IE, desktop version, thank you.

Hi DeirdreDoo,

Thanks for letting us know - and sorry to hear the site's not working well for you.

We have had a few glitches this morning leading to slow-loading pages, but your issue seems like a slightly different one.

We'll flag this to our Tech team and get back to you as soon as we have a response.

Thanks Flowers

Oh hello Dawn and how lovely of you - would you like some Flowers too? Smile

I don't know if the pages are eventually loading, just extremely slowly - but it has stopped happening for the time being, so perhaps it was the thing you already know about.

Thanks ever so for taking a look.

No problem at all, we do aim to please. Grin

We did just hear back from our Tech team who have said that unfortunately this issue does often arise on IE. They recommend users try other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox to access the site instead of IE, as they often work better.

For what it's worth, when testing this issue, they also found IE to be pretty slow!

Hope that helps, and glad things are working more smoothly for you now.

Okay, many thanks. JFYI I don't normally have any problem at all on IE - it's not slow and I've never had this happen before on MN.

So I think I'll stick with IE for the time being and see how it goes.

(I know tech hate IE Grin)

Thanks again.
