Hello there lovely Mumsnet HQ types. <creep>
I'm sure you must have heard of us dedicated wenches propping up the bar in the Swagger Inn Tavern up the road. Well, you see, the thing is, we feel a bit let down by the BBC as they have catered for fans all over the world for the upcoming (we will be) Series 2 of The Musketeers <squuueeee> but have pretty much ignored us mad loyal stalkers fans.

In short, we would feel sooooo much better about being sidelined if you could to us the teensy favour of setting up a new emoticon for us to play with from Friday. Maybe a little [sword], [pauldron] or just a simple [fleur de lys]?

We would be forever grateful to you <puss in boots eyes>

ApricotCrush Sun 28-Dec-14 21:10:35

We're feeling so neglected, so an emoticon would be such a help in our time of distress.

Muskey Sun 28-Dec-14 21:15:29

An emoticon for me yes please

LaComtess Sun 28-Dec-14 21:20:24

G'wan. Please?

We are a supergroup of a thread. Please doooo it. We'd be so excited to be noticed .... grin

FancyFancy Sun 28-Dec-14 21:59:51

We'd be so grateful, please?

FlopsyTheSnowman Sun 28-Dec-14 22:09:44

We'd be more than grateful. I'm sure you've read some of our threads...you know how, Erm, enthusiastic we can get wink

SantisLittleHelper Sun 28-Dec-14 22:22:23

We totally understand if you don't have a frigging clue what a [pauldron] is either. If you were 84,000 posts in, as we are, you would <hint>

A [fleur de lys] would be lovely. Because we are gearing up to go all over again <yes like that> with Series 2 starting on Friday.

We love you, MN. Not as much as The Musketeers cos they is well FAF, but this is HOME.

Mwah [fleur de lys]

If you have to wait as long as Woolly Hugs have been waiting for their [star] it will be the far side of never before this appears.

Baddz Mon 29-Dec-14 09:06:05

Woolly hugs havent got theirs yet!?
Fucking disgrace
Come on mnhq
Stop being such twats

FlopsyTheSnowman Mon 29-Dec-14 13:08:16

<strokes badders to calm her>
Yes, what she said ^

DawnMumsnet (MNHQ) Mon 29-Dec-14 13:11:10

Hi all,

You lot don't give up easily, do you? fgrin

(Though not sure calling us twats helps the cause that much, Baddz!)

There was a whole other thread about this recently here

And here's what KateMN said on it:

But take heart young Wenches, there are plans afoot to allow new and exciting things to happen with emoticons. We're going to hold off on creating any new ones for now, but we'll keep your suggestion in mind for when the plans come into action.

The Woolly Huggers did indeed ask for a [star] a vair long time ago. We created thanks for them as we felt it more appropriate at the time.

The fact is, we can't have every emoticon asked for, as much as we'd love to - we know it will wind people up if there are too many. <gavel>

BIWI Mon 29-Dec-14 13:12:40

Why, DawnMumsnet? I've never understood why emoticons have to be limited.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather Mon 29-Dec-14 13:24:09

Yes - but EIGHTY FOUR THOUSAND POSTS MN.

Right. If we're not going to get this - how about this proposal? Musketeers Series 2 starts Fri. They have done next to no promo in UK but lots in other countries. Their fans all over social meeeja have been complaining. MN, get em in for a web chat. Pllllleaseeeeee. Tell them about the 84,000 posts. Tell them we're their target market. Tell them we want recognition. You have got the 'pull' to do this for us. Let the BBC know Mumsnet makes it happen!

Their Exec producer is a lovely lovely lady called Jessica Pope. She's on Twitter smile We have always said she's an honorary wench.

thanks [fleur de lys] MN, we love ya <glares at Baddz>

Baddz Mon 29-Dec-14 15:14:29

Pffft

We're always open to proposals (so long as they're not emoticon-related, obvs) - so we're going to pass this one on to our webchat supremo and see what we can do.

MiladyBeaWinter Mon 29-Dec-14 17:21:52

<faints at prospect of Musketeer webchat>

One of them lives in London so easy to come in, and you could get Jess Pope in too to talk about how they have portrayed women in the series. Gwan MNHQ, it'd be amazing.

but bloody hell don't show them the threads blush

Baddz Mon 29-Dec-14 17:23:20

What biwi said - why do they have to limited!?
Ridiculous.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather Mon 29-Dec-14 18:40:40

DawnMumsnet, welcome to the wench-hood grin

We promise promise promise we would do MN proud smile

But for now.......SCCCRRREEEEAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM
