Nicotinell and nurofen for children so far.

The nicotinell 'sacrifice a cigarette' one is particularly irritating and is making me want a cigarette Angry Hmm

We know, sorry! We're in the process of hunting them down and getting rid.

And again. All weekend and today.

Particuarly obsessed with mucous and germs this evening. Which is nice Hmm

I just came to see if there was a thread about this. So annoying. I like to listen to music while I have several tabs open and this is really annoying.

I assume from KateSs post that these are not MNHQs doing, glad to hear it!

The worst part is, when I mute them they just play again.

Yep, they're persistent little critters Grin

Yip, same for me. It's really annoying and it disturbs the cat when she's lying on me

I know someone else is asking to opt of sound, but I thought autoplay ads weren't supposed to be selected for MN at all?

Yes, please, please, please get rid. It's driving me bonkers.

Driving me nuts. If you want the ad revenue MNHQ, this might be worth sorting out before we all install adblockers.

Fucking dettol can go fuck themselves. Logging off and going to Facebook.

Cillit sodding bang can, with respect, just go Bang! For sure, I really didn't need yet another intrusive blast of auto-play. Sorry to say that nothing has improved on the auto-play front.

Yes that's what worries me about the adblocker solution Mardy - feels like not playing fair, considering I'm getting the benefit of the lovely free site Hmm

(But I can't hold out much longer.)

You can pause them.

"You can pause them."

And then they start again a few minutes later.

Report
Summerisle1 · 26/11/2014 19:39

And when they start again, you can be somewhere completely different! As indeed I was a moment ago, answering a question on Facebook which was another one of my open browser tabs. So it came as an unpleasant surprise to get that horrible little advert with a pneumatic drill in it playing from apparently nowhere!

Fairenuff · 26/11/2014 20:03

Oh, I didn't realise that.

They are horrid, and even when you turn them off individually {if you can find the hidden "off" button) they come back on again after a short while.
