Nicotinell and nurofen for children so far.

The nicotinell 'sacrifice a cigarette' one is particularly irritating and is making me want a cigarette angry hmm

KateSMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 14-Nov-14 16:45:46

We know, sorry! We're in the process of hunting them down and getting rid.

ArsenicSoup Mon 24-Nov-14 18:30:37

And again. All weekend and today.

Particuarly obsessed with mucous and germs this evening. Which is nice hmm

I just came to see if there was a thread about this. So annoying. I like to listen to music while I have several tabs open and this is really annoying.

I assume from KateSs post that these are not MNHQs doing, glad to hear it!

The worst part is, when I mute them they just play again.

The worst part is, when I mute them they just play again.

Yep, they're persistent little critters grin

FrauHelgaMissMarpleandaChuckle Mon 24-Nov-14 19:19:47

Yip, same for me. It's really annoying and it disturbs the cat when she's lying on me

I know someone else is asking to opt of sound, but I thought autoplay ads weren't supposed to be selected for MN at all?

JeanneDeMontbaston Tue 25-Nov-14 19:01:53

Yes, please, please, please get rid. It's driving me bonkers.

MardyBra Tue 25-Nov-14 19:28:26

Driving me nuts. If you want the ad revenue MNHQ, this might be worth sorting out before we all install adblockers.

MardyBra Tue 25-Nov-14 19:39:17

Fucking dettol can go fuck themselves. Logging off and going to Facebook.

Summerisle1 Tue 25-Nov-14 20:11:31

Cillit sodding bang can, with respect, just go Bang! For sure, I really didn't need yet another intrusive blast of auto-play. Sorry to say that nothing has improved on the auto-play front.

ArsenicSoup Tue 25-Nov-14 20:23:01

Yes that's what worries me about the adblocker solution Mardy - feels like not playing fair, considering I'm getting the benefit of the lovely free site hmm

(But I can't hold out much longer.)

Fairenuff Tue 25-Nov-14 20:47:40

You can pause them.

MardyBra Tue 25-Nov-14 22:39:19

"You can pause them."

And then they start again a few minutes later.

Summerisle1 Wed 26-Nov-14 19:39:35

And when they start again, you can be somewhere completely different! As indeed I was a moment ago, answering a question on Facebook which was another one of my open browser tabs. So it came as an unpleasant surprise to get that horrible little advert with a pneumatic drill in it playing from apparently nowhere!

Fairenuff Wed 26-Nov-14 20:03:08

Oh, I didn't realise that.

Allalonenow Thu 27-Nov-14 21:29:22

They are horrid, and even when you turn them off individually {if you can find the hidden "off" button) they come back on again after a short while.
