I've been on Cerelle mini pill for a long time with no bleeding and all of a sudden as the title states i have been getting some break through bleeding. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Any mid cycle bleeding should be investigated

Are you in date for smear tests?

Is the bleeding post-coital?

There are several (almost invariably) benign conditions that could cause this. But you need to go to your GP for a proper opinion, and quite possibly a gynae referral.

I was like this on the pill, was always wondering if I was pg or if something was wrong. I have now come off the pill and have had no spotting. I'm now looking into other forms of contraception.

I second getting checked out. I had similar to you when i was with a long term partner, on the pill etc. Went to see Dr to investigate, she did swabs and i got a call a week later to say i had Chlamydia!! Total utter shock. She said you can have it for years before it causes problems. I was devastated. I had been totally faithful to my DP, but looks like he wasn't to me. He is now an ex! I'm not saying for a minute that this is what you have, but just that you really should get checked for any abnormal bleeding.
