Best film versions of English Lit texts?

I'd like to get some film versions of DD's set texts, but only if they are true to the text without inventing stuff.

Macbeth should be easy, because no one messes with Shakespeare do they?

But are there any true-to-text versions of Jekyll & Hyde or An Inspector Calls out there?
Or good quality audio versions? (The only non abridged J&H I've found is really quite boring to listen to. this one

There’s a great old film version of Inspector Calls with Alistair Simm if you can find it. Or maybe there’s a a video of the famous National Theatre production somewhere?

We saw the NT play, doubt there will be a DVD of it as it is on tour.

From reading the reviews, both the AIC seem to have 'flashbacks'. I understand why, but fear my lower ability DD might get confused. I'd really love a 'film of the play' if at all possible?

(It's interesting to look at the 'also viewed' and 'also bought' items. GCSE texts abound!)

I use this AIC one sometimes - a bit dated but pretty true to the text:

And this one but I don't like the Mr Birling actor:

Thank you Remus that first one looks good.

Don’t let her watch any of the Jekyll & Hyde movies. None of them follow the story, not even the animated version.

There’s a good audiobook on audible - Richard E Grant reads it.

Remus that is the one we watched but I agree Birling is quite the pompous arrogant arse he is meant to be.

All the J&H ones are awful.

All the J&H ones are awful.

I thought as much, but was hoping there was a hidden gem out there.
