St Christopher's Prep, Hove?

Does anyone have knowledge or experience of St Christopher's Prep School (Brighton & Hove)?

I'd really like to know what the atmosphere and pastoral care are like and where children went afterwards at 13+. We're booked in for the open day on 31 Jan so can ask questions directly then.

Thanks!

Tbh I thought it had been bought out by one of the large secondaries a while back. Brighton College Lancing and Hurst are the most obvious secondaries, then possibly Ardingly, Bedes, Eastbourne, Christ's Hospital.

Yes, in the prospectus paperwork it says that it's part of the "Brighton College family" so I presume they bought it.

As it's miles away from the secondary school, and there's another BC prep school (Handcross Park) I'm a bit confused about the relationship tbh. I don't know whether it means St Christopher's are mainly targeting BC at 13+ or a range of other schools too. Apparently they study the same curriculum as BC in Y7 and Y8.

I would be wary that they teach to BC entry rather than to sit CE or other entrance exams. Do they publish year 8 leaver destinations? In the scheme of things it is not that far from BC,

Thanks LIZS. I've now looked again and found the relevant section on their website. I think I missed it earlier because the print on the pie chart was so small and my eyes were tired...

Apparently 47.6% of recent leavers went to BC, 18.1% to Hurst, and smaller numbers to other schools. So looks like it is definitely BC-focused at 13+ but not entirely. (There's also some stats on CE results but I'm not sure yet what I'm meant to take from them. Haven't really looked at this in depth yet.)

Anyone had DC at this school? I'm keen to hear any personal experience. Bumping for weekend traffic.
