We are considering a place at CFBL, would anyone with children there share their experience and opinion of the school?
Mostly interested is it possible to go back to english system for 11+
Many thanks.

Hi there OP - we're just bumping your thread and hopefully someone with local knowledge will be along soon.

Best of luck with choosing a school.

I know one child (not very well) who has moved from CFBL to english Y7 so it can be done.

Interested in knowing how to go from 3eme to english 6th form if anyone has any info, id be grateful.

Found this thread looking for ideas of CFBL to british school interaction.

@clara101 we have a child in the primary school who is happy there. Good academics, decent pastoral care, but not full of stress and pressure the way prep schools can be.

Worth remembering they do not prepare for private 11+ this is the french system and they operate assuming children will stay in it - they look to whether children could transfer back into schools in france, and take the best of british and international education approaches (its not as rigid as a standard french school).

I have no worries if DC want to transfer back to british at 11.

I'd also be interested if anyone has experience of transferring to british 6th form. I assume it is tricky as the Brevet is year 10, so no time to get back for GCSEs, but would be happy to hear otherwise if anyone knows.

No worries if DC want to transfer back to british state at 11 that should say.

For private 11+ you'd need to do your own preparation outside school, but if DC are bright I'm sure they'd do fine.
