Is it normal for suppliers to take so long?

I know 2 weeks isn't that long really but given it's still not arrived, and I could well be waiting the same length of time should anything have to go back there's a real chance it's cutting it a bit fine...

There's no exchange service so have to wait for refund to be processed befire I can afford to replaceand wait another 2 weeks

I've already had one item out of stock so by this time line it won't be ready by September as it's end of August it's due back (at some point that week)

Is this really what it's like?

How common is the disaster of not showing up or being available?

Depends on the supplier. We go to a local shop that supplies uniforms for all schools in the borough. Anything needing to be ordered is there to be picked up within a week. Works great as the kids can try on the uniform for size.

It's an online supplier .

We did try on at the school however but as it's all online I have to pay postage to get it delivered then again to send back and again to 're order. And I've no idea when the bloody stuff will show up....

I'd never order from a site like this in any other circumstances. I hadn't been paid when the sale was at the school so had to wait and order online

Ha ironically it showed up today. Although it all looks a bit big so here's hoping I can make it fit.

Still waiting on the pe top though... hope o don't have to send it back I'm.not sure I can take the strain of the return Grin

The school must be getting an enormous kick-back from this supplier, to put up with this level of service on behalf of its parentsShock. Is it the sole supplier of the school uniform? It's now over a decade since that practice was criticised in a this report...

DD’s PE kit is only available online, or even sample sizes available at school apart from one day in Summer term where 240 potential parents turn up from 6-8pm.

Even worse, the school had the great idea of having the full name embroidered on the PE top, so it can’t be exchanged at all.

It took 4 weeks to have it delivered, DD is on Scout camp on on Sunday I hope that the stuff fits.

Oh, full price for all of it is £85.

marching

Bits and pieces are available from elsewhere but the girls fitted jacket and the girls skirt and the yr 7 and 8 pe kit is only available online.

I had an email update yesterday saying my refund will take 10 working days to process. I posted it first class recorded delivery on Thursday. I've had to ask family for money to be able to reorder which I did on Thursday. I got an email saying it's been despatched but it took a day or two to reach the royal.mail last time and a further 2 days to be delivered so looking at end of the week probably. Good job I was able to borrow as if I'd had to have waited up to 10 days for the refund befire I 're ordered I'd have been a bit fucked.

Quality pretty shit too tbh. It doesn't look very nice. I'm worried about a couple if the items not fitting but I can't order any smaller so going to have to make do.
