Hey guys,

I am new here! Just looking to take the plunge and become a full time CS...However I am worried that if I leave my part time job in sales I will struggle during the half terms if I don’t get paid.. Please let me know your thoughts!..

NB: I currently do agency work as a CS part time and sales part time. I just need to get out of sales now as I am 30.. Advice please guys will really be appreciated!! Xxx

You'll be paid monthly, so it will be averaged out over the year.

Thank you so much for your response!
There are sooo many agencies giving daily rates.. It is proving to be quite difficult to find a salaried role.
I have literally only seen one in London..It seems as though the agency route is the cheapest option for schools nowadays huff xx

Just be careful about the hours you are working and what the salary is based on. You might typically be on a 32.5 hour week in school but the salary scale is based around typically 37.5 hours for most Local Authority positions, so you will only get a proportion of the salary being quoted.

Usually you get paid for (eg) 43 weeks a year, but this is divided up into 12 even monthly salary payments. And yes, definitely keep an eye out for pro rata on your salary.
