Hello. Do people have ideas/views on what constitutes an average or generous scholarship award at 11+ for these schools. Are they also ever negotiable, once they've been offered?

It really does depend on the school -individual websites should tell you the usual range.

Some schools limit non means tested scholarships to 10% or a certain monetary amount whereas others might go as far as 50% for the very top candidates.

Think it's generally not negotiable.

Some offer a fixed token amount, others start at 5-10%. If you get combined scholarships they can be 30-50%.

it really varies from school to school

the more prestigious schools give lower discounts, the scholarship is the award. You can apply for a bursary on top if you qualify.

the "easier to get into" (which is all relative in SWLondon!) often give higher % discounts to attract high calibre candidates who they think will get good offers elsewhere
