Gloucester SEN support

Evening all,

Looking for some experiences of Gloucester secondary schools for children with SEN and behavioural problems also. or even anyone with a child with SEN who can share some advice? Or anyone with child with SEN who has moved schools and how this impacted their child?

Hi,
Depending on type of difficulties child faces, I've heard Alderman Knight in Tewkesbury is very good. What area of Gloucester are you from and is travel an issue?

Gloucester city itself has a mix of grammar schools and the other secondaries suffer somewhat from having the top 40% academically creamed off. It depends if you are looking at MS schools or special schools? Bournside in Cheltenham always used to have a very good SEN dept and is next door to Beaumont which is a special school for MLD and Bettridge for more severe SN. I'm not sure about BESD schools, though.
