Can you explain bit more as I heard it is not like Tiffin girls and teacher don't chase boys much for homework or grades and is too much relaxed atmosphere. is it true?

These schools are long way appart. Unless you are moving house then its not realistic to have a choice between the two schools. I believe that Tiffins boys is one of the most selective schools in teh country. Wherever you choose to live I think you have have to look at your back up options. (Especially if you are restricted to state schools.)

This year tiffin has a catchment area of 12 miles ( it might be 10 I can't quite remember)
2000 boys yes that is 2000 sat for their 2 stage entry test.
Around 350 boys have been asked back after stage 1 to sit for stage 2, of which 180 will be given a place.
Call back pass mark equates to 78%
The paper was very difficult.
Op if your child is highly academic, top of his class, then go for it.
Most boys gain 10 + GCSE's the vast majority being A or A*
Don't expect much pastoral care, & funds are limited these days so ex curricula is not as good as it has been in the past.
Still a good choice for a self motivated very bright boy.

In 2014 LGS was 2nd in the country according to the Telegraph.

It is most certainly an academic school - with impressive pastoral care.

And good extra curricular stuff - www.lgs.slough.sch.uk/page/?title=Extra+Curricular+Clubs&pid=143
