So DS2 is going to the local secondary school after much fighting from my part! because it was put in special measures last year. It is turning into an academy from september after much protesting from the local area. I went to the consultation about the changes and they do sound okay with a lot of money being given to the school for renovations. The school have been well known for being put in their red polo shirts but they have a new logo will they change the uniform in 3 and a half weeks and as its an academy (inspiration trust) will they be put in ties! Weird question i know but the one thing i liked was the fact they wore polos and not ties! They buy the uniform from the school and the uniform shop dosent open until the 28th of august (fyi). Any other experiences of a DC school changing to an academy i would drove to hear!
