Just had our appeal and it's all over now, phew. Just wanted to thank all the experts on here who have been so helpful over the last few months - you can't begin to imagine how helpful you have all been. It is SO much appreciated Thanks Wine

The hearing was horrible - the panel were very nice but one of the admission authority reps was unbelievably rude and aggressive. At one point she was even insinuating that we made up DD's problems just to get into this school! Shock I came away feeling very disheartened and feeling like we have no chance of winning :( Now just got a week of I should have saids to get through before we find out :o

It's good to hear that you have found all the advice on MN helpful.

I've decided that this is my last year offering advice based on my experience of school appeals. Everything I think or know about appeals is on a thread somewhere so I am bowing out.

I'm sorry to see that, PanelChair. I found your advice very helpful when we went through an appeal. I've always thought it amazing that people are so generous with their time and expertise. Thank you for all that you've done to help at what can be an incredibly stressful time.

I echo the above comments. I don't know what I'd have done without the helpful and friendly advice I got from this site. I am extremely grateful, thank you.
Panelchair, please don't leave, I'm sure there will be many more worried parents in the years to come who will be just as grateful as we are. You will be missed.

Thank you for the kind words, but I really do feel I have contributed as much as I can. There will still be several expert posters who I am sure will continue to help people.

PanelChair, I have never needed help with an appeal but always found your posts interesting Flowers

Thank you Panelchair. I too have read your advice and taken comfort from the fact that when I get there (Y4) there will be people to give me good advice. It is amazing how much time and energy you and the other admission experts give. If this was a face to face organisation I'd love to farewell you with a big bunch of flowers. Thank you.
