Wycombe Abbey Sixth Form Entrance

I've applied to Wycombe Abbey for 6th form entrance in 2015, taking my general english examination and interview in early june, then hopefully examinations in my 4 A level subjects around October.
I would like to know
a) What should I expect/prepare for the interview? Lots of current affairs/general knowledge? More personal questions?
b) As one of my choices would be Psychology and I haven't done it at GCSE(wasn't offered at my school) what should I know and how should I prepare for the exam?

Thank you so much

The registrar at the school is the best person to ask. They were v helpful when my DD applied.

Can you say a little more Sara?

What information have you had from the school regarding interview procedure?

What are your other A' level subjects and how does Psychology fit in? Also, have you had very clear advice regarding the best A' level subjects for whatever you might be hoping to study at university?

What's your Plan B?

There are a few other threads about WA. It might be helpful to have a look at them.

Strongly recommend that you think very carefully before taking psychology at A Level at WA. The traditional gold-plated 'hard' A-Levels are what the top universities seem to want- and by implication what WA prefers to teach. Read psychology in your spare time as it is certainly fascinating - maybe don't play that card at the WA interview would be my counsel. Suggest you look at the WA A-Level results, decide which are undersubscribed, and that will give you a clue as to what course choices will help you get in. Strategy is everything in life as you will know, particularly as a place at WA at sixth form is very hard to get. Hope that helps.

AnthonyandCleopatra- thank you for your input. I actually already had my interview and general entrance exam back on the 6th May instead. I continued with my desire to pursue psychology at A level and was given a conditional offer, thank god. All that's left now is to do well enough in the subject exams!(?)

Well done Sarahorr!
Fantastic and good on you for avoiding strategy and just applying for what you want to study!

Hi all,
I am new here and just started to prepare registration for 6th form for Wycombe Abbey. I did not see any registration form from their school website. Do you know if their application is open or not right now? What is the first step for application?
thank you in advance.
