Seeking a secondary. The N13 Palmers Green black hole. In excrutiating pain.

To the north lies Southgate suburbia and three very good state schools. To the south the Muswellites are populating Fortisemere and APS (but wil that change if the waste depot comes to Pinkham Way)? We are in a black hole served by nobody and outside of all the aforementioned catchment areas. Do we have an alternative to moving? I don't think so. Something else is not quite right. There were 20 kids who got into one of those Southgate schools from a Palmers Green Primary, when they well outside of the catchment area. All special needs? It is not possible.
Any astute parents out there who can help me out with my little problem?
Please try to help. Yours, vexed of N13

Well maybe they had moved into catchment. There is Broomfield?

The home addresses of the 20 kids would have been the factor in their entry under the admission criteria, not the school they went to.

Do you really know where each and every one of them lives?

It would be unusual to have 20 kids from one year group who are statemented but not impossible.

If you're definitely outside any previous year last distance admissions, it doesn't mean that you will be this year as things change but there's obviously no guarantee. Although it may mean that you have a low chance of receiving one of your preferences or do have to decide to move.
