Frozen to ice @ AEEC

I'm looking at buying tickets for Disney on ice Frozen at Aberdeen Exhibition Centre. I've never been to the venue or a Disney on Ice before, so want to get decent views. If we're on the tiered seating are we likely to see anything? Is east, west or south better? Or should I pay for rinkside?
Kids are 6 & 3.

Coming from the isles so would be shelling out £3-400 for flights plus 2 nights in a hotel, so don't want to end up needing binoculars to see the show!

Thanks for any advice!

This might help OP:

The venue doesn't get a good write up from the first few reviews I read but a lot of that seemed to be down to the acoustics for a music gig. One person saying that you needed to be further back to see anything. Worth a trawl through for anything relevant.

Thanks!

Would prefer Glasgow, but the flight times are rubbish!

That's a shame :( Might be cheaper going to Florida... :o

I've been to both - Aberdeen & Glasgow.

No matter where you sit in Abdn you get a great view! Even the furthest away seats are fairly close to the stage.

Would never go to see it in Glasgow again! Paid for expensive tickets and could barely see.

Relieved you can see from the tiered sitting - any advice on what block to go for?

If you are right on the rink the kids might get picked to be in a little bit of the show. When we went (Dublin) two little kids were picked to go in a boat in the Ariel scene.

All blocks are the exact same - same view, same distance from toilets/food/bar. The arena is set up differently depending on each event. For Disney it's a very small, intimate set up. As with any kids' show, close to the aisle for toilet breaks would be handy!

When we saw the show the kids that got to go up were competition winners, not picked on the night.

Brilliant - many thanks MazzleDazzle! That's exactly what I need to know. It's such a massive amount of money for the trip that I need to be confident that we see the show.

Now all I need is a Loganair ticket sale and flymaybe to send a working plane Grin

Last question, honest! The blocks I want only seem to have enough seats if I book "platinum seating" which I'm not paying. Will more seats be released at the general release on the 20th? Thanks again!

No, LSI. Though if planes fly from any of the islands in the winter it'll be impressive! 😂

I'm guessing LSI Smile

I have a Loganair contact at work .... I'll ask if she knows if they've got a sale coming up.
If it is LSI, the flights are busier at the moment!

Not sure about which seats will be available after the 20th.

When you were looking at tkts on Ticketmaster were you searching via
priority booking or presale?
